Kellokonttori is a watch store specializing in the sale, purchase and exchange of valuable watches, with a selection of uniquely stunning used valuable timepieces. Typically, you can find brands such as Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin, Richard Mille, Patek Philippe, Panerai, Breguet, Omega, Hublot, Breitling, as well as many others in the online store.
Kellokonttori’s old Shopify-based e-commerce platform became challenging to maintain, so it was time to find a solution which was easy to customise and scale to become larger when needed. WooCommerce was chosen as the platform, e.g. due to its scalability, cost-effectiveness, and broad developer community support.
We built a unique visual look for Kellokonttori’s WooCommerce online store, where captivating images were given the biggest possible role and the rest kept clean, simple and minimal. Usability, especially on mobile devices, was emphasized in both design and technical solutions.

Payments do not move directly through the online store, as the products are easily quite valuable and the purchase decision is often made only when the watch is on your wrist. The customer journey was planned carefully and we ended up creating a number of new business-enhancing functions, such as the search alert, which notifies the subscriber by e-mail when an appropriate watch appears in the store. In addition, we created an easy way for buyers to offer their own watch in exchange by filling in information about the watch, including attached photos.
