Individuals don’t build great companies, teams do.
A truth recognised by many (quote by Mark Suster) and we couldn’t agree more.
We’re extremely proud to introduce this addition to our team. He is part of the awesome bunch of talents bringing together beautiful visuals and top notch user experience, learning the newest tricks of WordPress development and teaching us the gimmicks of yet another new culture.
Let’s give the word to the man of the post.
Hello there! My name is Vladimir. This name might sound a bit weird for Finland, however, it’s very common in Ukraine, where I’m originally from. My name means the “owner/protector of peace” and the person who is doing his best for the common good. My name tells a lot about me.
I’m a fan of constant moving, updating, upgrading and improving. Looking for the newest features, checking how they work and the way they can be implemented. Spending time near computers is compensated with sports: volleyball, swimming, gym, or not so active ones like fishing.
It’s never too late to learn aka. experience and further plans.
I used work in an Ukrainian – American company, which develops outstanding designs for it’s customers. This company released 10-15 templates for different platforms to satisfy the needs of thousands of customers every day. My responsibility was to support customers with any issues, or just to explain how things work. During one year I closely worked with Joomla, WordPress, Drupal, Magento, Prestashop, Opencart, osCommerce and some other platforms. Each of them resolved some special tasks perfectly, but my favourite is WordPress mostly for it’s logic and code. Therefore, I decided to focus on it further.
“The country of thousand lakes”:
Look at this picture I took this summer, isn’t it beautiful? I think this one, strong argument is enough to come to Finland, and there are many others.
I planned my further education and wanted to get my Master’s Degree from abroad. Finland seemed to be the best choice with its top-ranked Universities and high level of life. So I quit the job I had and moved to Jyväskylä for almost 3 years.
in an IT company with friends.
This means a lot to me. I was searching for a company that appreciates its employees’ achievements for a long time and that was my mistake. I should have been searching for friends to work with and not for a company to work in. I found them, or they found me. That doesn’t matter now, because we are together trying to shift the Earth to create something breathtaking.
